From Kiara to Ranveer Bollywood Actors Visiting Theatres | Here’s Why

Amid the on-going pandemic, Bollywood actors in India are feeling “wish we were together moment” with the big screens. Quite obvious that nothing could beat the experience and joy of a movie theatre. The large crowd and big screens always dominate the world of mobiles and televisions. People just don’t go to a theatre for a movie; they are there to enjoy the added experience of a 72 by 98 ft. gigantic screen, advanced digital audio system, and a whole environment of cinema fans.

In Purple Pajamas, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh while celebrating his 10-year journey of big screens, since his first movie debut in 2010’s Band Baja Baraat, took to Instagram with this “To commemorate my 10-year milestone in the movies....it was only fitting that I return to the sacred chamber of dreams, it was marvellous.”

Raveer Singh will be next seen in his upcoming biopic movie ’83, here the actor will be seen portraying the character of famous Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev. Many producers are keeping hold of their movie launches for theatres to get fully operational. Ranveer also has a few more big-budget movies as his upcoming projects; these are Cirkus, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Takht.

Just like Ranveer Singh, another Bollywood Actress and Diva Kiara Advani was also seen in a theatre recently. With some relaxations provided to the theatres, Kiara’s upcoming film Indoo Ki Jawaani is all set to hit the big screens today. Earlier this week, Kiara was spotted in theatres with her entire family watching the pre-release screening of her film. The talented actress can be seen wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing, setting a message for a safe cinema experience.

While posting on her Instagram account, the actress wrote “Finally! Back at the cinemas. Missed the big screen so much! Watched Indoo Ki Jawani with my family last night and the experience was surreal.

The movie is based around a young girl Indoo, who enjoys experimenting with her dating life. The story takes a turn into misadventures when she accidentally swipes right on a Pakistani man.

"Super service and sanitization. Can't wait to meet you at the movies with your friends and family. See you there from tomorrow, it's a date."  Kiara in her post on Thursday.

After nearly 8 months of cinemas staying shut, few states and union territories in India have given a go-ahead signal to theatres. With the ease of lockdown relaxations, the new world of cinema during pandemic comes with a rule book that plays key importance in maintaining a safe and secure movie experience for all the viewers and employees of theatre.

  1. Mandatory wearing of the mask at all times during the show and while entry or exit.
  2. To maintain social distancing, alternate seats in the cinema hall will be kept empty, dropping the overall occupancy of theatres by 50 percent.
  3. All viewers should pass thermal screening tests to enter the hall.
  4. Alternative show timings will be kept for different screens.
  5. Only packaged food is allowed inside the hall with no delivery of snacks and beverages inside the hall.
  6. All air conditioners will be kept at a range of 24-30 degree Celsius
  7. Advanced booking and digital mode for payments at counters will be promoted
