Late Actor Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor’s Younger Brother Rajiv Kapoor Dies Due to Cardiac Arrest

Renowned bollywood actor and younger brother of Late Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor took his last breath on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. The beloved ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ actor is said to have died due to heart failure. He was 58 years old.

Famed movie critic and industry analyst Komal Nahta shared the sad news of Rajiv Kapoor's demise on Twitter.

“Very sad news. Rajiv (Chimpu) Kapoor passes away following heart attack,” a tweet from Komal Nahta’s official twitter handle.

While informing to the news media, Randhir Kapoor confirmed the report of his younger brother Rajiv Kapoor’s death. He said, “I have lost my youngest brother. Rajiv is no more. The doctors tried their hardest but could not save his life. I am at the hospital, waiting for his body.”

Rajiv Kapoor featured in famous movies such as Ram Teri Ganga Maili, Mera Saathi and Hum To Chale Pardes and many others. He also directed Prem Granth and Aa Ab Laut Chalen starring Rishi Kapoor. As a producer, Rajiv Kapoor, financially backed the 1991 film Henna.
