Cricketer Hardik Pandya's Father Dies | Players From Cricket Fraternity Pays Condolences

Team India's star all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya lost their father this morning due to a cardiac arrest. Krunal Pandya was playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament for Baroda. On receiving the news of his father's death, Krunal Pandya left for his home. Baroda captain Krunal Pandya left the team's bio bubble to be with his family in this difficult time. Amid strong covid-19 restrictions, the players weren’t allowed to leave the bio bubble, this disqualifies Krunal Pandya from Sayyid Mushtaq Ali T-20 Tournament. At this difficult time of sorrow, more than their team, it’s their home who needs them.

Indian cricket team Captain, Virat Kohli tweeted his condolence as, “Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Hardik and Krunal's dad. Spoke to him a couple of times, looked a joyful and full of life person. May his soul rest in peace. Stay strong you two. @hardikpandya7 @krunalpandya24.”

“Remember meeting uncle for the first time at motibagh. He was so keen for his sons to play good cricket. My condolences to You and family. May god give you strength to pass through this difficult time @krunalpandya24 @hardikpandya7,” said Irfan Pathan, former Indian International Cricketer.

“Condolences to the Pandya brothers.  Prayers of peace for the departed soul.   May god gives strength  to @hardikpandya7 @krunalpandya24 #HardikPandya #Krunalpandya,” wrote Reema Malhotra, Cricket Commentator & Former Cricketer.

An old video from the duration of last year’s nationwide lockdown started resurfacing the internet. The video shows Pandya brothers with their father having a video chat with Indian Cricketer Dinesh Karthik.

Another eye catching old video is of time when the cricketing brothers gifted a Jeep Compass to their Father. The father’s expressions to the surprise are simply heart touching. The boys achieved every son’s dream - ‘A Dream for the Father’.
