It's a baby girl for Virushka !

The wait is finally over ! Our Captain Cool Virat Kohli and the heartthrob Anushka Sharma, together known as "Virushka" have announced the birth of their baby girl. Virat Kohli posted a heartfelt message on his twitter handle:

Virat proclaimed that both the baby girl and Anushka are doing fine and that people should respect their privacy as of now.

The couple has been married since 2017 and Anushka announced last August that they were expecting a baby:

Complimentary messages had flooded their posts instantly, many of them being from the couple's celeb friends such as Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sania Mirza and others.

According to the official reports Virat Kohli, the captain of India's cricket team, was granted paternity leave by the Board of Cricket Control in India and flew home from Australia towards the end of December 2020 after playing the first of a four match test series. The Men in Blue for now are being captained by Ajinkya Rahane.

Talking about her views on parenting, Anushka had spoken to The Vogue last year and had stated that the couple did not wish to raise "brats":
"There are so many similarities in the way we are as people and the way we approach life. So I do think that will work for us. I've been thinking about it before I even became a parent. Conditioning is the most important role in how we see the world. I come from a progressive background, so that will always be a part of our home. Love is the underlying factor in our home, and what's important to us is that our child be respectful of people. You have to create that value structure. We don't want to raise brats"

Both Anushka and Virat boast of successful careers and are connoisseurs of their respective fields. In a recent analysis by Checkbrand which analyzed over 45 top cricket players last year , based on over 100 million online impressions, Virat Kohli's brand value was the highest at 328 crores. Anushka's stood at 167 crores with over eight crore followers on social media platforms.
