On Tuesday, the actor from Bollywood and son Raj Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, died.

A number of famous people from the Indian mourned Rajiv Kapoor's death.

Lata Mangeshkar told she was profoundly saddened to learn of the demise of the youngest son of Raj Kapoor. "Mujhe abhi pata chala kie Raj Kapoor sahab ke chote bete, guni abhineta Rajiv Kapoor ka aaj swargwas hua," she posted on Twitter.

Neetu Kapoor has taken the news to Instagram. Sharing an actor's picture, Neetu wrote, "RIP”.

Unki aatma ko shanti pradan kare yehi meri prartana. Ishwar unki aatma shanti. (I just knew that the youngest son of Raj Kapoor and talented comedian, Rajiv Kapoor, died. I am very sorry.

Rajiv Kapoor was born on August 25, 1962 in a legendary Bollywood family Raj Kapoor and his wife Krishna Kapoor. With Ram Teri Ganga Maili of his father he received recognition (1985).

Aasmaan (1984), Lover Boy (1985), Zabardast (1985), and Hum To Chale Pardes are some of his other memorable movies (1988).

But Rajiv quickly moved into film direction and production, also being addressed as Chimpu.

After 28 years with Ashutosh Gowariker's Toolsidas Junior, the actor was set to return to film. In December 2020, the movie became recognised as the leading film with Sanjay Dutt.

In 1996, he directed Prem Granth, which, in conjunction with Madhuri Dixit, was led by his elder brother Rishi Kapoor. In 1991 he went on to produce Aa Ab Laut Chalen, with Brother Randhir Kapoor's director Henna (1999). But then Rajiv paused from Bollywood and his coming back to the film was confirmed just last year.
