RAPPER NICKI MINAJ'S FATHER DIED IN A HIT-AND-RUN CASE NEAR NEW YORK

In a hit-and-run case near New York, Robert Maraj, the father of rapper Nicki Minaj, was severely injured by a fast moving car.

According to police, while he was walking on a road in Mineola, Long Island, Maraj, 64, was struck by a car on Friday, as reported by Hollywood reporter.

On Saturday, He was taken to a hospital where later on he was declared dead.

Although a representative of Minaj confirmed the death of her father, she has yet to comment on the tragedy.

Minaj had previously opened up about how her father was abusing her mother, and had recalled the incident from her past, when he once set fire to their home while her mother was inside the house.

"I remember when my mom would let my father be abusive with her and she always brings this story about when I was a little girl and I would stand next to my mom (with my arms open to protect her)," Minaj said in a clip featuring in her documentary that she posted on Instagram in 2018.
