DDA to Put 1350 Flats For Sale Under PM Awas Yojana | Check Application Deadline
On Saturday, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) unveiled a new housing scheme for the sale of 1,350 flats, primarily for the categories of the High-Income Group (HIG) and Middle-Income Group (MIG). Officials have confirmed that applications for the flats can be submitted before 16 February of next month.
The procedure of registrations, payments, and distribution of possession letters for the program will be conducted electronically via the AWAAS application linked to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Housing for All credit-linked subsidy scheme (Urban).
Locations For The Flats
During the last week of December 2020, Delhi Lieutenant Governor and Chairman Anil Baijal decided that DDA will be offering 1350 flats for sale at different locations in Delhi. On 2 January 2021, the Delhi Development Authority is expected to open 1350 flats under the DDA Housing Scheme 2021, offering flats in Dwarka, Jasola, Mugal Puri, Rohini, and Vasant Kunj. Out of these 1350 flats, there are approximately 215 Higher-Income group flats in Jasola vihar-Shaheen Bagh metro station and 15 in Vasant Kunj, 352 Middle-Income group flats in Dwarka sector 19B, 348 in Dwarka sector 16 and 4 in Vasant Kunj, and 276 flats designated to Economic Weaker Sections are in Dwarka's Mugal Puri. Around 140 flats are reserved for Lower-Income Groups.
Apart from a one-time visit at DDA office to execute the conveyance deed, rest of the application process such as payments, and issuance of possession letters will be all done through DDA’s online registration portal.
“People will have to come to the DDA office just once to execute the conveyance deed,” said a DDA official.
Another DDA official advised the potential buyers to perform an onsite inspection for their interested flat type before apply for them online. “We have provided the contact numbers of officials who will be present on the sites to show the sample flats.”
