INC Paid Tributes to former PM Rajiv Gandhi on 78th Birth Anniversary, Rahul Gandhi: “Papa, I always carry you in my heart”
On the occasion of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's 78th birth anniversary, Congress paid emotional tribute to him on Saturday. Jairam Ramesh, senior congress spokesperson, said that as prime minister he would be recognised for a number of significant and far-reaching accomplishments that stand out for his zeal, devotion, and leadership.
On the morning of their father's 78th birthday, former Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra paid respects at Veer Bhumi, the memorial to their father.
His one-term as prime minister would be remembered for his extensive accomplishments, the party claimed, including strengthening the foundations of the IT revolution that transformed India.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted in memory of his father, "Papa, I always carry you in my heart. I'll always make an effort to realise the vision you have for the nation ". Additionally, he posted a photo and video montage of Rajiv Gandhi.
