Every year, on 12 January, India celebrates National Youth Day in honor of the birth of Swami Vivekananda born as Narendranath Datta, one of India's greatest spiritual and Cultural leaders and believers of youth empowerment. He was a central figure in the spread of Indian Vedanta and Yoga philosophies to the Western world, and he is recognized for raising interfaith consciousness, introducing Hinduism to the position of the world's leading religion at the end of the 19th century. He was a significant factor in the resurgence of Hinduism in India, leading to the idea of Indian nationalism as a weapon to fight against the British Rule in colonial India. Vivekananda established the RamaKrishna Math & RamaKrishna Mission. Swami Vivekananda Perhaps is best known for his remarkable speech, which began with the words "Sisters and brothers of America ...," in which he brought Hinduism to the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago in 1893.

Yuva Diwas is also observed to inspire young people in the world to become a better individual and to achieve an honorable life that leads to the prosperity of the nation. India is a country where one-fifth of its citizens are youngsters. It is therefore incredibly necessary to consider the role of young people in developing a nation.

Below are a few Inspirational quotes by Swami Vivekananda to fill you with positive motivation:

  • Take risks in your life. If you win, you can lead, if you lose, you can guide.
  • Talk to yourself once in a day, otherwise, you may miss meeting an excellent person in this world.
  • Be a hero. Always say, I have no fear.
  • You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself.
  • Arise, awake, and stop not until the goal is achieved.
  • Believe in yourself and the world will be at your feet.
  • All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark.
  • Strength is life, weakness is death. Expansion is life, contraction is death. Love is life, hatred is death.
  • Do one thing at a Time, and while doing it put your whole Soul into it to the exclusion of all else.
