Much-Awaited National Film Awards Ceremony Held in New Delhi after 2 Years; Receives 55.9% Positive Reviews from the Audiences

The National Film Awards ceremony took place in New Delhi after a massive gap of 2 years. The winners were declared in July this year and on Friday (30th September); the government honoured the prominent individuals from the entertainment world. President Droupadi Murmu introduced the honors. Aside from film characters like Ajay Devgn, Suriya, Vishal Bharadwaj among others, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2020 was given upon unbelievable entertainer Asha Parekh for her impeccable lifetime commitment to Indian Film. Suriya's Tamil film Soorarai Pottru got the Best Feature Film Award.

CheckBrand assessed the hype of the celebration on all social media platforms. As per the analysis, CheckBrand reported that the ceremony gained a digital engagement of 81.8K in the past day. Further, it also received 55.9% positive reviews from the audiences online. Apart from this, the National Awards has a search engine score of 3357 as of 1st October 2022.

Multiple stars attended the event and were awarded for their prominent performances in the films. While it was the first National Award for South Star Suriya, Ajay has won his third after Zakhm and the The Leged of Bhagat Singh. Suriya starrer Soorarai Pottru won five National Awards including Best Screenplay, Best Feature Film, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Music Composer. Here’s a list of top receivers:
