#JusticeForPujaBharti: Why is mainstream media silent ?
A horrific incident has come to light this morning on social media platforms as the body of a first year MBBS student at Hazaribag Medical College was discovered floating in Patratu Dam on 12th of January, 2020. Local newspapers covered the incident:
However, the incident seems to be absent from relevant media platforms, news channels and has even failed to gather attention in the Prime Time debates.
As per certain reports, Puja Bharti was a promising student from the city of Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, and was a first year MBBS student at Hazaribagh Medical College.
She remained in Kota and prepared for three years after that, she was enrolled in Hazaribagh Medical College. Her body was found in the morning in Patramu district of Ramgarh district.
Her parents have alleged "Murder" and have put the needle of suspicion on her classmate.

With the growing number of atrocities committed against women in the country, the image of the nation is certainly going down the drain infront of the globalised world.
India needs to buckle up to address this issue by implementing certain measures such as the introduction of a value based education system, tougher laws, better policing and women development & their economic upliftment programmes.
