Arjun Tendulkar Joins Mumbai Indians At A Base Price During IPL Auctions

The last player to go under the umbrella in the IPL 2021 auction is Mumbai cricket player Arjun Tendulkar, who was acquired by the five-time IPL champion Mumbai Indians, at his base value of INR 20 lakh.

Arjun, son of the iconic cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar, had previously been seen in the league's net sessions. He was also in the UAE with the squad during the IPL's 13th edition.

Arjun Tendulkar made his professional appearance for Mumbai during the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After coming into bat in 11th place he did not get to face any ball. However, while bowling he gave 34 runs for 1 wicket.

In the U-19 category and other age-group tournaments, Arjun had played for Mumbai.

He was member of the T20 league in Mumbai that took place in 2019.

Earlier in his sports career, Arjun had played for Mumbai Under-19 and India Under-19. In June 2018, he was first selected for India U-19 for two four-day games in Sri Lanka. He has been seen on many occasions bowling in the Mumbai Indians and India nets.

Arjun Tendulkar caught the attention of IPL franchises on February 14 by smashing an impressive 77 off just 31 balls for MIG Cricket Club during 73rd Police Invitation Shield tournament.

The blazing innings of the 21-year-old were speckled with 8 sixes, of which 5 arrived in an over from Islam Gymkhana off-spinner Hashir Dafeda. During his game, Arjun also hit five fours.

As MIG won the match by a huge 194-run margin, Arjun also succeeded with the bowling and took 3 wickets for 41 runs.

Arjun's potential for bringing a spectacular game can not be doubted as he had proved to be a valuable asset for every team he played for in the recent past.
