India Vs Australia Cricket Test Series Starts Today| Match Highlights

Among the few good things that are happening around the world during tough covid-19 restrictions is the happening of International cricket tournaments and you shouldn’t miss it if it’s a match between world’s greatest cricket team ever, Indian and Australian cricket teams. The fight between astonishing Men-in-Blue and the mighty Kangaroos is a worth watching.

Today the first match has begun towards the India-Australia test series that includes a combination of four matches scheduled for Australian cricket stadiums.

In the first test of the four-match series, India won the toss and chose to bat first today. India named their playing XI on yesterday, with Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw making it to the list as match openers, while at Australian front Joe Burns and Matthew Wade will do the opening batting.

India had a tough start with its openers and Cheteshwar Pujara leaving for pavilion at early start. However, after a bumpy start, the match has brought back to a stable situation with Virat Kohli (C.) and Ajinkya Rahane holding the grounds. With 139/3 and still counting runs, India need to manage a pause on the wicket fallen and only then match would become interesting for the limited audience at the stadium.

The 5 days test match is scheduled for 17th – 21st December, following by second test from 26th December.

The third and fourth matches are scheduled for Jan 7-11 and Jan 15-19 of the upcoming year 2021.

 

The world’s most iconic cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar took to social media to express his views for the importance of the cricket session.

“This will be a crucial session for both teams as one will look to move ahead of the other. At this point it looks evenly balanced. Will be interesting to see how the surface plays once the sun goes down,” said former Indian Cricket Player, Sachin Tendulkar.

The International cricket council (ICC) closely watching the India Vs Australia cricket match. It appreciated India’s Cheteshwar Pujara and Kohli’s partnership that stabilized ‘the slip through fingers’ situation for India.

“A solid partnership between Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli lifted India to 107/3 at tea,” said ICC on Twitter.

Pat Cummins is emerging with the most appreciated form of bowling, Cummins scored Pujara’s wicket as bowled with a good length medium pace bowling. The video clip the captured footage of marvellous bowling is as below.
