Virushka name their daughter 'Vamika'
Virushka has taken the internet by storm again. The couple have revealed the name of their daughter. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have named her Vamika. Anushka Sharma revealed their first "family picture" on the social media platforms:
Anushka wrote: "We have lived together with love , presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one , Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss - emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full." She also thanked her well wishers: "Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy."
What does Vamika mean ?
Vamika is another name of goddess Durga. Vamika is also considered as the female half of the Ardhanarishvara, a composite form of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. As Ardhanarishvara, Shiva forms the right side of the body and Parvati forms the left side. Together, they symbolise a world in perfect harmony with its masculine and feminine energies, the Yin and the Yang.
On January 11, 2021, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcomed their daughter at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. Virat Kohli took to Twitter to share the news. With a heart emoticon, Virat wrote, "We are thrilled to share with you that we've been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers, and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat".
The couple had tied the knot back in 2017.
Vamika is a Coronial Kid:
Vamika is a coronial kid. Coronial is a term given to the newborns who have been conceived during the COVID-19 quarantine period. A lot of people announced lockdown pregnancies, which has led to the coining of an entirely new term : coronials. Most of these babies will be born after December 2020, continuing until Spring 2021. They can be also known as "Covid Kids".
