Allu Arjun reveals a rugged look in his upcoming movie "Pushpa"
Telugu Superstar Allu Arjun's fans have another reason to celebrate. The star revealed the release date of his upcoming film, Pushpa. The movie is set to open in cinemas on August 13, 2021.
Pushpa marks Allu Arjun’s reunion with director Sukumar and composer Devi Sri Prasad. The trio has earlier delivered two blockbuster movies: Arya and Arya 2. It is important to note that it was the movie "Arya" that turned Allu Arjun into an overnight sensation.
The upcoming movie Pushpa is one of the most awaited films of the year. Since its announcement, fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. The budget of the movie is a whooping Rs 100 crore. Alongside Allu Arjun, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna in a female lead role. The Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela will also be making a guest appearance in the movie, with an exciting dance number next to Allu Arjun.
The poster which was revealed features Arjun in a rugged look. The actor will play the role of a red sandlewood smuggler.
Allu Arjun was last seen in the theatres in Trivikram’s Ala Vaikuntapuramloo, which emerged as one of the biggest blockbuster successes of his career. Pushpa seems to be a rustic action forest based thriller and will mark the actor's maiden pan Indian project as it will be released in five languages. The film portrays a tale of red sandalwood smuggling. The movie chronicles the red sanders heist in the hills of Andhra and depicts the complicated nexus that unfurls in the course of the narrative of a man who is taken by materialism.

Allu Arjun began his career as a child artist in Vijetha and as a dancer in Daddy. He made his debut in the film Gangotri. A rap song was also composed by S. Thaman and performed by Roll Rida and Harika Narayan with lyrics by Roll Rida and The Hyderabad Nawabs, on Allu's journey in Telugu cinema.
