Political Crisis in Jharkhand: CM Soren Is Set to Resign from MLA Position; CheckBrand Evaluated the Impact on Popularity Index
After a scheduled meeting with the governor on Thursday, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has predicted a political crisis and expected to quit as an MLA. According to the reports, Mr. Soren could make attempts to form a new government.
CheckBrand investigated Mr. Soren's digital rating to determine his digital presence. Surprisingly, his unfavourable opinion on social media has risen to 68.3%. He has been searched on the internet 4724 times and is constantly trending on social media sites. According to CheckBrand, his digital interaction hit 109.7K on August 30th – September 1st, 2022.
The development came after coalition Government flew his 32 MLAs to Raipur on Tuesday, where an underage girl died after being ablaze by man in Dumka. The incident has brought nation-wide uproar and condemnation from all sections of society and has high potentiality to incite riots all over.
Soren's party JMM believes that the BJP party would make a serious attempt to detach his MLAs from the party and affiliated parliaments in order to destabilise the alliance leading to the collapse of government. The Electoral Commission handed its judgement to Governor Ramesh Bais on August 25th, after his BJP's appeal requesting Soren's removal from parliament on profit grounds.
Although the EC's decision has not yet been made public, rumours have been circulated that the electoral commission has recommended that the Chief Minister be disqualified. In three coaches, 15 MLAs from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and 17 MPs proceeded to the luxurious resort of Navalaipur, escorted by Chhattisgarh State Council Senior Leaders Ramgopal Agrawal and Girish Dewangan. For the next two days, all of the resort's around 40 rooms have been allocated for guests from Jharkhand, according to legislative sources.
