BJP Trying to Persuade AAP MCD Councillors, Claims Manish Sisodia after Election Results
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), according to deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, tried to snatch newly elected councillors from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday; hours after the AAP won the MCD elections. In the local body elections on Wednesday, the AAP won 134 of the 250 seats, ending the BJP's 15-year reign over the MCD. However, the race was close with BJP putting up a valiant effort and capturing 104 wards against pollsters' predictions of a crushing defeat.
