JP NADDA’s CONVOY MET STONE PELTING BY ALLEGED TMC PARTY WORKERS| THE COMPLETE STORY
BJP Leaders JP Nadda and Kailash Vijayvargiya’s convoys heading to attend state election campaign 2021 in West Bengal, faced stone pelting on their vehicles.
As the two BJP leaders JP Nadda, the party’s president, and Kailash Vijayvargiya, the party’s National General Secretary, were headed on their way to Diamond Harbour today on Thursday to engage with party workers regarding upcoming West Bengal elections in 2021.
Alleged party workers from opposition pelted stones at their convoy dealing great damage to vehicles passing, including the ones with party leaders.
Kailash Vijayvargiya also shared the video of the incident showing the broken windshields of his car. Before this BJP’s West Bengal President Dilip Ghosh suspected a security breach at a party’s event on Wednesday, following the Union Home Ministry is seeking a report from the West Bengal government.
Kailash Vijayvargiya took to twitter saying “Bengal Police was informed in prior regarding JP Nadda’s event and yet again the Bengal police failed. The TMC party workers attacked our party workers and vandalized my vehicle at Sirakol bus stand, right in front of Bengal police.”
“Shocked at the attack on JP Nadda ji in Bengal. Condemn the brazen attempt to stop legitimate political activity. BJP party workers will not be cowed down by violence. The WB government owes an explanantion. Strict action should be taken against TMC miscreants.” said Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman.
Post the incident, police managed to escort all the vehicles out from the zone.
“On our way to Diamond Harbour, TMC supporters blocked the road and hurled JP Nadda’s and Kailash Vijayvargiya’s vehicles with stones. This only shows the true colour of the TMC.” Said BJP’s state President, Dilip Ghosh.
West Bengal’s Governor’s Response to the Matter
“Concerned at alarming reports of anarchy and lawlessness. Mamta Banerji (CM of West Bengal) indicating ruling party harmads on the rampage at BJP president convoy and political police in support.” Said Governor of West Bengal, Jagdeep Dhankhar.
TMC’s response to the matter
The ruling party of West Bengal Trinamool Congress (TMC) responded through their party leader Madan Mitra, who indicating BJP workers said “Their own goons are indulging in violence.”
TMC has clearly denied from any involvement in the attack and called it a local people’s revolt against the BJP.
