The four men have been identified as the organisation’s district President Gaurav Talwar, Rishi Lavania, Sonu Baghel and Vishesh Kumar.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Commandant Rahul Yadav told the Times of India that the men filmed the video to get more followers on YouTube. “Our security personnel use metal detectors for frisking visitors but small pieces of clothes can’t be detected,” he added. “Selfie sticks are allowed and they used it for hoisting these cloth flags.”

However, netizens have criticised the security personnel stationed accusing them of failing to do their duty:

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar also took to the social media platform twitter to express her disgust over the incident:

Some even took this incident as showing disrespect to the Mughal Queen. Many intellectuals have expressed their displeasure over the incident and social media platform has become a platform for accusations and counter accusations.

In the last recorded period of 2018-19, the UNESCO World Heritage Site garnered a revenue of Rs. 86,48,93,100 from over 70 lakh visitors. The tomb of Shah Jahan's beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal has been a centre of controversies since decades with multiple conspiracy theories declaring it as an erstwhile Shiva temple.
Meanwhile, the four youths who posed with the flags were booked under section 153 A (Promoting enmity between two groups on ground of religion) of IPC and section 7 in the The Criminal Law Amendment Act at Tajganj police station on complaint by the CISF. Whether it qualifies as nationalism or mere jingoism is a question which needs to be debated.
