So what is cyberpunk and why is it trending with #shutterpunk these days? Let’s find what’s the buzz all about. At first, Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing game (RPG) designed, developed, and published by CD Projekt, a Poland based game developing company started back in 1994. CD Projekt has come up with a concept town of future 2077 named night city and the RPG game revolves around the open-world city. Players get a virtual first-person perspective of a crime mercenary called V, who can obtain skills and advancements as the game progress.

The game’s release date for various platforms like Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia is today on 10th December 2020, the fans of PlayStation 5 need to wait a bit longer, supposedly till 2021.

Apart from Cyberpunk’s advanced and high-end graphics that does make it a great gaming experience, there are two more key highlights boosting the noise on the internet. These are the introduction of Hollywood's beloved Keanu Reeves as a character named Johnny Silverhand inside the game and the launch of a gaming competition called #shutterpunk2077.

We all know Keanu Reeves for his remarkably brilliant role as John Wick and if not that, then you must recall him from The Matrix series. The veteran actor has given his appearance, voice, and performance to CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077.  Keanu is already delighted his fans by attempting a surprise appearance on the stage during E3 gaming conference in Los Angeles. Keanu shared his opinions and interests in movies, games, and sports with the gathered crowd. Now the appearance of Keanu in the game has rushed a new group of fans into playing the CyberPunk 2077.

#SHUTTERPUNK2077 — CYBERPUNK 2077 PHOTO MODE CONTEST

The game developers have launched an online photo mode contest that contains exciting prizes for players. To participate in the online contest, players have to take a screenshot using the in-game photo mode and post it on Twitter with hashtag named #Shutterpunk2077. Players can submit only one screenshot for each category.

These categories are mentioned as below.

Portrait — focusing on V or any other character from the game.

Action — showing off dynamic moments of the game such as fights, jumps, car chases, etc.

Sights — taking in the best views from the game and architecture of Night City.

The developers want players to attach these screenshots with their category & message containing hashtag #Shutterpunk on the microblogging platform of Twitter. The players are suggested not to do use any frames or editing to the screenshot, doing so might pull off their eligibility. The rewards for the best submissions would be Alienware gaming laptops, gaming chairs from Secret Lab, metal posters from Displate, and peripherals from Razer.

The deadline for the photo contest submissions is 11:59 PM CET on Sunday, January 10th, 2021.

Although the game received praises for its world-class design, characters, RPG experience, and of course introduction of Keanu Reeves. Yet the game is accused of major criticism for its poor technical performance, with many lamenting the game’s appearance likened to last-gen consoles with many bugs and glitches.
