Freida Pinto Will Be Starring In Spy Princess- The Story of Noor Inayat Khan

The Chakde India actress Freida Pinto is all set to be casted in Spy Princess, a movie that describes World War II spy Inayat Khan’s life.

The series is an adaption of Shrabani Basu’s novel Spy Princess: The Life of Noor Inayat Khan and is written by the very artistic olivia Hetreed. Olivia has written various movie including Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Freida when asked about her role said “Sending women to the front line is controversial even now. Then it was unthinkable. Sending a Sufi mystic, who won’t use a gun, daughter of a long-haired Indian Guru who preaches love and peace – ridiculous! But Noor thrives, not in spite of her differences, but because of them. Her struggle to reconcile her values with the desire to find her own path and with her complex sense of duty is something I am so excited to explore and to recreate. At a time in this world where we are all looking at leadership and courage to guide and lead us all back to some semblance of sanity and order, I take great comfort in the quiet strength, grace, intelligence and grit that Noor Inayat Khan possessed in the face of chaos during WW2.”

Frieda further explained that she is thrilled to play the role of a woman who played such an important role in India’s historic event.

Freida shared the poster of an article written about her acceptance for the movie with the headline “Freida Pinto To Star In & EP ‘Spy Princess’ Limited Series About Noor Inayat Khan From Olivia Hetreed & Red Room Films.

The actress has been played one of the finest roles in Slumdog Millionaire.

The tale of Noor Inayat Khan is recently played by actress Radhika Apte in Amazon Prime’s A Call to Spy which, according to reviews, is one fine movie.

The actress also recently announced her all-female production company which she says is gonna change Hollywood norms.
