Saif's Adipurush Might Show A 'Humane' Ravana But Social Media Does Not Agree

The Bollywood Nawab Saif Ali Khan who likes to be grabbing headlines has yet again made to trend with his remarks about his upcoming film Adipurush. Khan in an interview said that the movie will justify Sita’s abduction and will create a ‘humane’ impression of Ravana.

Adipurush is a movie starring Baahubali fame Prabhas as Lord Ram and Mr. Khan as mighty Ravana. The movie is backed by T-Series and is directed by Tanhaji’s director om Raut.

In a recent interview Saif was seen praising the movie and describing the mythology where he slipped off and now seems to hurt zillion sentiments with his remarks about ‘lenient’ side of the character Ravana. If we read the exact words it goes " It is interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose."

As we all know, in 2020 social media rules the game and within a blink of time, Saif’s statement created a buzz on social media and zillions of people criticized Khan’s statement.

After his comments on his humane part playing Ravana, social media stirred up. As Khan spoke about shredding a limelight to the evil Ravana, people gained to question whether he praise the Lankan King. Even BJP leader RamKadam came forward to express his concern over actor’s controversial statement.

Recently, Saif was seen apologizing to public where he said his statements did not mean to hurt anybody’s sentiments. In his apology he also clarified that the movie is about triumph of good over evil and celebrates the achievements of Lord Rama.
