Amid covid-19, A mysterious disease haunts Aandhara | Over 200 admitted

Amid the times of pandemic, there's another illness spreading in the regions of West Godavari, a district to the Indian state of Andhara Pradesh. So far, Around 200 citizens have been infected by the unknown disease.

"The number of people showing disease symptoms in the Eluru town of Godavari is increasing rapidly. In the last weekend, around 200 people have been admitted, among whom 140 were later discharged and leaving behind 60 active patients. The prime symptoms of the illness include nausea and fainting. Wherein the cause of the disease is yet unknown." said Dr. Mohan, superintendent of Eluru Government Hospital informed the ANI.

The local authorities were quick to take affirmative actions on the situation with doctors and policemen actively engaging in their duties to maintain the order.

"Patient's blood samples have been sent to Vijaywada government hospital for testing", said the town’s team of doctors.

The state’s health minister A.K. Srinivas visited the hospital to see the patients and have a check on the matter.

"A team of doctors is working on the case to explore the reasons behind such a mass spread of unknown illness. All patients are under stable medical conditions, However, a 6-year-old girl has been sent to Vijaywada Hospital post her deteriorating illness." said the state’s health minister.
