FIFA World Cup 2022 Begins with a Bang! BTS Singer Jung Kook starts the event with his songs; Gains 5.8M Online Engagement in the country: CheckBrand

While Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman was equally impressive with his message of hope, unity, and tolerance, BTS singer Jung Kook stole the show with his new song, "Dreamers," at the opening ceremony. The ceremony began on Sunday at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar, with a cultural performance before all of the World Cup songs were played. The lighting design and music at the venue were both excellent. The crowd at the arena had a blast watching Morgan Freeman and Jung Kook perform. The World Cup trophy had previously been given to the crowd by Marcel Desailly, an icon in France.

CheckBrand assessed fans’ craze for the event and monitored their reaction on each and every event related to it. As per the reports, FIFA has gained an online engagement of 5.8M in just the first day of the match. Among this engagement, about 25.7% of the audiences have written positively for the same. Besides all this, FIFA has a search engine score of 6112 as of 21st November.

Above all the buzz and excitement, the event has also attracted controversies at the very first day. To get here, the hosts had to overcome a great deal of controversy. Some of the charges centre on Qatar allegedly paying bribes to secure the privilege to host the World Cup, as well as allegations of mistreatment of migrant workers' human rights. Just one day before their World Cup opening, the Arab nation is already embroiled in a brand-new scandal. Amjad Taha, a specialist in strategic political issues and the regional head of the British centre in Saudi Arabia, claims that Qatar is accused of paying eight Ecuadorian players a total of $7.4 million in bribes to lose the opening match.

Neither Qatar nor FIFA have released a statement in response to the accusation. After putting an end to beer sales at stadiums, the nation also encountered opposition. In order to dispel the accusations, Qatar will want to outperform Ecuador in their World Cup debut. Three games have been played between them, with one game being won by each team.

When it comes to streaming of the game, the Indian fans are unhappy with JIO Cinema for providing poor streaming of the game. For the Indian FANS, the FIRST DAY and FIRST SHOW of FIFA World Cup 2022 turned out to be a bad experience. The LIVE Streaming by Jio Cinema was nothing less than a "POOR STREAMING EXPERIENCE," if the TWITTER replies & InsideSport's own experience are anything to go by. The turned to TWITTER to air their grievances and even questioned whether the IPL 2023 LIVE Streaming will be the same.

Soon after, Jio Cinema's official Twitter account posted that users needed to update the app in order to experience the highest streaming quality. However, consumers still experienced the issue even after the update.
