Black People Might Get Superpowers Today, Twitter Trends #blacktwitter

It was in 2018 when Meredith Clark, an assistant professor at the University of Virginia found herself connected to a group of African-American twitter users who surfed the platform for sharing their real issues with each other.

While Clark saw posts which reminded of her school days and teenage life, she was curious to explore the #blacktwitter.

That was a time and today its again when twitter has #blacktwitter on its ‘trending hashtags’ list.

Before getting to know how December 21st and #blacktwitter are related, for some non-twitter users, here’s what black twitter actually is.

Black twitter is defined as a network of communication between culturally connected individuals majorly black people who bring attention to common issues raised among black people, share their similar interests and share other’s proverbial knowledge of their culture.

Why black twitter is trending today?

December 21st is the day when Jupiter and Saturn are set to align and both the planets will be closer more than ever.

Pauster Baul Begley, a Christian evangelist also said that the world will end on December 21st. Paul said “The Mayans are now reorganising and saying this could certainly be the end of the world as we know it.”

Where nobody knows the knock-knock of this sudden news, a twitter user for fun came with his very own ideas and said that black people will get superpowers on 21 December. The user tweeted “As black people, genetically we are stronger and smarter than everyone else, we are more creative, on December 21 our Real DNA will be unlocked and majority will be able to do things that we thought were fiction. Learn who u are as a people. They wanna make us average.”
