And then the bombs started falling

Since the start of the civil war in Syria in the year 2011, the Israeli Defense forces have launched hundreds of attacks directed against the Syrian Defense forces and Iran which has tried to establish military control in the region and has made efforts to transport game-changing weapons to the terror group Hezbollah.

Very recently on 6th of January 2020, a series of car bomb attacks inin Ras al-Ain and rural Aleppo had killed two children and injured several others which drew international condemnation from the top UN humanitarian officials in the country.

The Syrians responded with firing anti-aircraft missiles and air to ground defense systems and "supposedly" intercepted the missiles, however, such claims hold not much water and have been refuted by the analysts.

Israeli airstrikes targeted a number of sites around Damascus, the Syrian media reported late Wednesday night. No casuelties have been reported so far. The state media outlet SANA stated: “The Israeli enemy carried out an air attack by means of a barrage of missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan on some targets in the southern region”

The IDF has been constantly engaging in strikes against the Syrian forces, supported by the separatist groups. Just last month, Masyaf, in the central Hama province, was targetted and four weapon manufacturing facilities were destroyed, satellite images of which were released by a private Israeli agency:

India, which has recently become the non-permanent member of the security council of the United Nations for the eighth time stated that the war-torn Syria has become a breeding ground for the terrorists who have entrenched themselves and are posing a threat to the entire region. India's permanent representative to the UN TS Tirumurti went on record to state that  "India remains concerned about the possibilities of such weapons (chemical) falling into the hands of terrorist organizations and individuals".

Both Israel and Iran have been making claims in the war torn Syria. It can be taken in a geo-political perspective since Syria has an abundance of natural resources such as oil, gas iron and manganese, however, the governments in these nation states have justified their acts on the basis of maintaining peace and stability in the region. However this comes at a great price: the maximum impact has been on the children:

An entire generation has lost its future and it would probably backfire just like it happened with Taliban. The same war-torn children became the next generation of fighters guided by fundamentalism and radicalism.

The above picture of a Syrian boy had stormed the internet few years back drawing global condemnation and the need of affirmative action in the region to restore normalcy. Furthermore, the situation has forced thousands to migrate to the counties of Europe often taking routes that are dangerous. Another photo which took the world by surprise was that of a Syrian boy who was washed ashore after the boat his family was migrating had drowned:

The recent attacks on Syria has also made itself into the top trends of the social media platform twitter:

The last tweet in the above mentioned thread probably defines the future of the country. Bom blasts, air strikes, killings have become so common in Syria that people have got used to the situation. But is this the future of humanity as a whole ? Can we allow these atrocities to take place ? these are the questions which we must ask the representatives of our nation states. The future of Syria looks grim. Only when the power of love will overcome the love for power, the world will know peace.
