Pamela Anderson seeks Donald Trump’s help to pardon Founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, before leaving the Oval office

Trump is expected to offer around 100 commutations & pardons before finishing his term at the white house, as the president of India.

This Monday, Pamela Anderson made a strong plea to President Trump to demonstrate his adherence to the freedom of expression by offering a complete pardon to the founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange, before leaving oval office.

The "Baywatch" star, a staunch defender of Assange, told to the media that the pardon announcement could be a "defining moment for the president."

Trump is scheduled to grant around 50 to 100 commutations and pardons before leaving the presidency this week. As per media reports, the imprisoned journalist is not expected to make the list despite an ambitious effort to gain his freedom.

Talking in an interview with the fox news journalist, Tucker Carlson, Pamela said, “The entire world wants, or most want him to pardon Julian Assange. This is his time to shine and really make an impression on the world. If this goes to trial, that’s the end of the First Amendment."

Pamela urged Donald Trump to “do the right thing” and protect the “free speech hero- Julian Assange.”

While talking about Donald Trump in her interview, Pamela said, “This is one of those moments in the history of his lifetime, where he has the opportunity to make the right decision. He would gain a massive popularity and a huge following and a sigh of relief with gratefulness from so many people on the planet.”

The fox news reporter Carlson had earlier come in support for the release of Assange, calling it for the protection of the first amendment.  Talking about Donald Trump,  Carlson said, "Can achieve a major victory for the principles that this country was founded on and make it a good place to live.”

"The first one of those is freedom of the press, freedom of speech. It doesn’t matter. It’s still true and we should pardon Julian Assange,” he added to his statement.
