Recover Better- Stand Up For Human Rights

What’s the point of being Human if you can’t have the basic human rights, right?

‘Safeguarding the rights of others is the most noble and beautiful end of a human being.’

“Human rights are at the heart of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as in the absence of human dignity we cannot hope to drive sustainable development. Human Rights are driven by progress on all SDGs, and the SDGs are driven by advancements on human rights” states UN website.

Humans Rights Day is celebrated on 10th December to entitle human beings irrespective of their colour, religion, sex, language, race, political opinions, birth place, social margin, etc. The day is celebrated to reiterate importance of human rights in world building and sharing humanity globally.

Human Rights Day is celebrated after the United Nations General Assembly in 1948 adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

The day marks the historic decision when the UDHR document outlining the basic fundamental rights protected universally was put to good effect. Enlightening the need for interconnectedness, humanity and solidarity, Human Rights Day speaks about restoring world making it a better place.

This year, the theme is synced with Covid-19, focuses on being there for each other, creating equal opportunities and accepting the failures. Since 2020 is about world distortion, rising poverty, deaths, rising inequalities, entrenched discrimination and shredded human rights, the UNGA makes the theme all about overcoming these issues.

Make the world more breathable and sustainable, know your right!

Wishing HumanRightsDay to everybody
