Trump Supporters Storm US Capitol, 52 Arrested and 4 Died In Violence

US elections definitely was one of the most discussed elections across the world in 2020, but Biden’s win came with consequences.

A pro-Trump mob on Wednesday slammed the Capitol hill breaching the existing democratic grounds in US. There were scenes of protest (not peaceful), and storming of the Capitol building.

Till now around four people have died in the chaotic scenario including a woman who was shot dead by the police. The Metropolitan police department have confirmed arrest of 52 people amidst the violence where the Trump supporters have broken windows, ripped down US flags and climbed rafters.

Marking the President and Vice-President’s safety, the House and Senate were placed under lockdown and the lawmakers were excavated to a safer place.

After the violent clashes, the Washington DC mayor Muriel Bowser announced the curfew in the nation’s capital and later extended the curfew for the next fifteen days.

World leaders came forward to condemn the act and save the shrinking democracy in #America convincing Trump supporters to accept Biden’s win in the country.

While UK and Australia called for peaceful shift of powers among leaders, other countries including Canada, Ireland, Greece, New Zealand and India joined them.

UK PM Boris Johnson tweeted “Disgraceful scenes in U.S. Congress. it is now vital that there should be a peaceful and orderly transfer of power.”

Barack Obama, Former US President chastised Trump’s actions and said “History will rightly remember today’s violence at the Capitol, incited by a sitting president who has continued to baselessly lie about the outcome of a lawful election, as a moment of great dishonor and shame for our nation,”

"In the eyes of the world, American democracy tonight appears under siege. This is not America. The election results of 3 November must be fully respected,” said European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.

"Trump and his supporters should finally accept the decision of American voters and stop trampling on democracy. The enemies of democracy will be pleased to see these incredible images from Washington DC.”

While the protests continued, Trump addressed the miscreants saying “We love you.”

He further added “We had an election that was stolen from us,” Trump said in a video he tweeted more than two hours after the Capitol was breached. “But you have to go home now. We have to have peace, we have to have law and order, we have to respect our great people in law and order.”

Trump asked US to stay calm and abide by the laws.

The Chinese Embassy reminded its people to stay safe in the country with such distasteful protests.

Condemning the act Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “Distressed to see news about rioting and violence in Washington DC. Orderly and peaceful transfer of power must continue. The democratic process cannot be allowed to be subverted through unlawful protests.

The unpleasant US riots and protests have marked Trump’s misleading triumph in the country.

As Biden now holds the above-all seat, the US awaits a stronger democratic country.

The 2021 Capitol incident is considered to be the terrific intemperate happening after the 1814 incident when the British invaders looted the entire building and ruined the Capitol to the greatest extent.
