Twitter Reacts With #Bjparnabbetraysindia After Arnab’s Leaked Video Chats

 Republic TV’s Editor-In-Chief Arnab Goswami’s leaked chats have been creating a façade these days as the chat holds several threats to the functioning of the country. Arnab’s conversations with Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) Chief Partho Dasgupta has raised serious questions about the recently reported TRP scam and hints about Pulwama attack. The chats however tilt to the point where it can be forged that the journalist must have known about the Balakot strike as well.

The chat was related to the Balakot strike which was India’s response to the 14th February Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.

The Congress members demanded an inquiry to those chats while they suspect prior knowledge of the strike saying “his is akin to playing with national security and shows the hollowness of those in power.”

Another Congressmen said “If what sections of media is reporting is correct then it points towards a direct linkage between Balakot air strikes and 2019 general elections.” Adding to the point Manish Tewari added “Was national security milked for electoral purposes?”

Raising concerns about the efficacy of accusations, P Chidambaram tweeted “If yes, what is the guarantee that their ‘source’ did not share the information with others as well, including spies or informers working for Pakistan,” he asked, tagging Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in his tweet. “How did a ‘for your eyes only’ decision find its way to the government-supporting journalist?”

The chat also revealed that the BARC minister and the journalist had conversated three days before the strike. Arnab was seen responding “ bigger than a normal strike.”

Dasgupta, in the chats, asked for favours in return of maintaining Republic TV and Republic Bharat’s lost position after the TRP scam which definitely shows Gupta was blatantly misusing his powers.

While the opposition parties reacted in an expected way, twitter carried on with #BJPArnabBetrayIndia.

The TRP Scam was highlighted when the BARC filed a complaint against the Republic TV and demanded suspension of channels ratings and IBF membership.
