Amit Shah Begins His Bengal Journey Today

 Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be flagged by the fifth and final Yatra rath on Thursday in West Bengal on a two-day trip to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) campaign.

This is Shah's second poll state visit a week from now. For one day on February 11 he had come to West Bengal.

"Today Shah will travel from Namkhana in south Parganas district the fifth and final parivartan rath yatra. He will also visit Sagar Island's Kapil Muni Ashram and Kolkata's Bharat Sevashram Sangha," said a BJP official.

Home minister will have lunch with a refugee family in Narayanpur. He will be there before returning to Kolkata to attend a road show.

During a race in the river Yatras at around 12:50 pm, Minister-in-Chief Mamata Banerjee and MP Abhishek Banerjee of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), her nephew, will hold an anti-offensive rally at approximately the same time in this district.

This year in March-April the critical State Assembly elections are scheduled and this time the BJP aims to gain over 200 seats from the 294.

Nevertheless, the TMC has claimed the BJP will not cross double numbers.

According to the leaders of the BJP, Rath Yatra will begin as a small one with a visit from the Kapil Muni Ashram on Sagar Island. In mid-January, millions of pilgrims come together at the confluence of the Ganges River and Bay of Bengal at the south tip of West Bengal in the Ganga Sagar Mela. Every year in Ganga Sagar, in the middle of January.

Shah will be continuing the Poribartan Yatra from Namkhana and will be participating in a roadshow in Namkhana.
