Andhra Pradesh Election Results Lead To YSRC’s Win
Andhra Pradesh Panchayat phase 1 elections started on Tuesday being the YSRC’s leading ground.
The results for a total of 2850 places have been announced, according to the latest reports.
The major points:
TDP 44, BJP and its local allies 31 and others, including independents, have captured 56 seats, with YCP leading with 2319 seats so far. The State Election Commission reported that in Andhra Pradesh, the first phase of polling for 2,723 panchayats ended peacefully with a turnout of 81.42 percent.
The counting of votes began yesterday at 4 pm and results are expected to be declared today for all seats. 7,506 candidates were in the contest for over 2,700 gram panchayats in the first round. Voting started at 6.30 AM and finished at 3.30 PM.
In addition to panchayats, 20,157 members of the Ward were voted. Elections for 3,249 panchayats were to be held in the first level, but 525 had already been elected unanimously and no nomination for a village in the district of Nellore was submitted.
It uses ballot paper to conduct the votes. The polls will run in four phases until 21 February.
The first phase of elections saw about 82 percent polling, according to data available. The State Election Commission has stated that the first phase of state polling ended peacefully with a turnout of 81.78 percent. However, the total number of registered voters was not given by the SEC.
"The State Electoral Commission is pleased to have completed the Gram Panchayats Process I state elections. This is a reasonable 81.42 percentage of the poll. The district of Krishna has reported the highest 85.06," said PTI. The district of Krishna reported 85.06 polls,' said the SEC.
29,732 polling stations were built by the State Election Committee. 3,458 of these were sensitive and 3,594 were hypersensitive.
In compliance with the coronavirus protocol, all appropriate measures are taken in a tight security setting, with EPI kits for voters infected with the virus.
