Apsara Iyer becomes the 1st Indian- American Woman to Head Harvard Law Review in 136-year History

The first woman from the community to hold the position of president of the esteemed Harvard Law Review in the 136-year history of the illustrious journal is an Indian-American student in her second year at Harvard Law School.

According to a report in The Harvard Crimson, Apsara Iyer was chosen as the 137th president of the Harvard Law Review on Monday. The Harvard Law Review was established in 1887 and is one of the oldest student-run legal scholarship publications.

In The Crimson report, Iyer stated that as president of the Law Review, she hopes to involve more editors in the process of evaluating and choosing articles and uphold the reputation of the journal for "high-quality work."
