Rakesh Tikait’s Congratulatory Message To Farmers Looks Inciting, Twitter Mocks BKU Leader
The occasion of 26th January is celebrated to be a day of pride for our country and is known for the formation of the Indian constitution. But from this year, this day and ahead will be remembered as the day when the Indian farmers protested to win their rights back, though with violence and chaos.
The farmer protests have been taking a new shallow turn since yesterday when the farmers took over the country’s peace leaving no point of discussion with the government. The tractor parade which was aimed to be peaceful turned ugly while the protesting farmers broke barricades, tried to run their tractors on police personnel and attended the protests with lathis and talwars. Though not all the farm groups were seen wreaking havoc, some major farm groups including Bharatiya Kisan Union was in the news for shattering the very idol stone of the peaceful protests. Previously the police allowed only 2000 tractors in their republic day tractor parade and minded the farmers for nor carrying any kind of weapons, but the leaders who promised to spread peace did not abide by their promises.
Sans all the chaos created on the Republic day, the farmer leader Rakesh Tikait shared his message towards the farmers where he was seen congratulating all the farmers for the peaceful parade.
He tweeted ‘I congratulate the Indian farmers for successful tractor parade and peaceful protest. The farmers are agitated and are full of enthusiast. Still, they were calm. The government needs to understand the farmer’s agitation. The Indian government must revoke the three farm bills and fulfil the farmers’ demands.
Where some of his supporters applauded him for the tweet, others did not feel the same way. RSS members also criticized Tikait’s act and said this country is independent because people from RSS fought for it and a violence like this is unacceptable.
Rakesh was seen in a video saying ‘let’s bring our lathis and flags and show how powerful we are.’ Link-
Twitter flooded with people mocking Tikait and some of the twitteratis also demanded his arrest believing he incited the red fort incident.
The agitated farmers were seen hoisting the Nisan Saheb flag on the red fort on 26th January.
The battle that the farmers started to gain their rights have turned into a septic. In yesterday’s fight between the farmers and the police, around 300 police personnel were injured and one of the farmers died. The fight continues even today!
