Rape Accused Kills Victim’s Father, Video Viral on Social Platforms

 In an agonizing incident, the father of a girl who is a sexual assault victim was put to death by the accused Gaurav Sharma and his friends.

Gaurav Sharma, the accused who was jailed in 2018 and his six friends shot the girl’s father on Monday morning.

The video shared by the girl described the incident when Gaurav shot her father over a discussion about the same case. She alleged her father in a temple targeting his chest and back.

The news has already created an hour of concern for the Uttar Pradesh government as locals begin criticizing the UP government over such horrendous incidents.

Some left condolences for the father and demanded justice for the same.

In the video the girl is seen sobbing “Please give me justice... please give me justice. First, he molested me and now he has shot my father. He had come to our village. There were six-seven people. My father had no enmity against anyone. His name is Gaurav Sharma. He shot my father in the temple, chest and back. Why did he have to shoot him in the chest.”

The Hathras police in the undergoing investigation said “The man who died had filed a case against Gaurav Sharma in July 2018 for molestation. The accused went to jail and got bail after a month. Since then, both families were hostile to each other. The wife and aunt of the main accused had gone to a village temple to pray where both daughters of this man were present. The women had an argument. The accused - Gaurav Sharma - and the woman's father intervened and the argument between the men intensified. After this, Gaurav flew into a rage and called some boys from his family to the scene and shot at the man.”

The police further informed Gaurav Sharma was put behind bars under molestation charges. In 2018, he was in jail for a month and was bailed later. According to the police, the man who was put to death filed a complaint against Gaurav Sharma in the same year but failed to keep him in prison for long.

Along with Sharma, one of his family members named Lalit Sharma is also arrested for shooting the victim’s father. The police further explained the incident and said that the victim's father and the accused had an argument regarding the case. After the girl reached the hospital, she found her father was dead.

The police are investigating the case further. UP CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered Special investigation into the case.

In September 2020, a 19-year-old Dalit girl was gangraped and murdered by four upper caste men in Hathras. Manisha Valmiki’s body was cremated at midnight and ignorant police proceedings already disappointed a lot of people.
