This Indian Navy Day 2020 Lets Explore More of its Royalty
The most amazing fact about the Indian Navy day on 4th December is that it isn't the day it was founded. Unlike many other prestigious organizations, the Indian Navy stands different when it comes to its day of celebration. It was on 4th December 1971 when the Indian Navy successfully executed operation Trident at Pakistan's Karachi Naval Headquarters. It was one of the world's greatest stealth operations and it is still celebrated as one of the many achievements by the Indian-Navy. Although founded officially in 1612 as Royal Indian Navy by East India, The Indian Navy heads way back from the Mauryan Empire to Chatrapati Shivaji's Kingdom. Therefore, Chatrapati Shivaji has been attributed as the father of the Indian-Navy as he recognized the true potential of Naval forces. Shivaji's Naval forces protected Indian territories from the Dutch, Portuguese, and British for many years. After the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, Indian-Navy came up with patrolling units called Sagar Prahari Bal (SPB) in 2009. This further tightens the security at 7500 Kms of Indian coastline. Indian-Navy though small yet it is the most innovative of the Tri-services.
Indian-Navy comes with the majority of its indigenous warships, submarines, and even its Aircraft Carrier. Although the personnel strength of the Indian-Navy is less when it comes to mass destruction, it's only the Navy that could do it most. The Indian-Navy is well equipped to perform a 3-dimensional attack using its submarines, War Ships along with its quick and light Naval Aircrafts.
The day of 4th December is the day we tribute our technically advanced Naval Force. It is the day when we keep this into our minds that we are safe when our oceans are well-guarded by the Indian-Navy 24/7 and 365 days. Let us all celebrate not just 4th December but every day of our freedom that comes with huge sacrifices of men at borders.
